Personally, I find September to be when I take stock of my life. Between Christmas and New Years is a terrible time to do it: it’s dark, I’m out of money, I’m 90% carbohydrates and tinsel. No one wants to be judged on the state of their life on December 31st.
It has been quite a year here at Alice HQ (does this make me sound more professional or just a little insane?)
I know myself, I’m unlikely to do a monthly newsletter with news, I’ll write essays and prompts and musings on seaweed and cats. But keeping track of my actual news? Never going to happen.
Once a year though, I can manage that.
This year I blurbed and reviewed some beautiful books, Anne Tannam’s Distmantle, Trudie Gorman’s Trust the Damage, and The Eighth House by Linda Segtnan.
